Our Dedication to Sonic Purity Requires the Highest of Quality in Internal Component Parts

Our Zapco Teams asked us for products that could perform even better than the Z-AP Series, both in terms of audio quality and overall system power. We've also been asked for single-channel amplifiers, stereos, and up to four channels as an extreme case. Thus, the Z-AT series was born. It can be positioned two steps above the Z-AP series, in terms of listening quality.

We've improved the performance of the Z-AP series in both sound quality and power, positioning the Z-AT series at the top of the competition market, where nothing is left to chance. To achieve this, we've used different components (the best available) and different power ratings for the output transistors and power supply, with the option of using different operational amplifiers (OP), which, at this level of sound quality, are the only components that still make a difference in terms of sonic performance. The choice of OP amp is also a matter of listening taste, so we make it possible to use different OPs, as the amplifiers are equipped with sockets for changing the OPs without the need for soldering. BIAS current regulated to 100 mA for each channel, and these amplifiers can work with both balanced and unbalanced inputs.

New transformers, new capacitors, new high-power voltage regulators (so the amplifiers can operate at the maximum supply voltage, typically 14.4 volts, even with a flat battery), and new OPs, upgradeable, like in the Reference Series. The Z-AT Series shares the same dimensions as the APs, allowing them to be used together; only the top plate is titanium-finished instead of gold.
